Click here to write your articleThey need to embrace the call of duty strategy. 3 independent but dedicated development studios all rotating and working on the exact same IP. EA's business strategy is monopolizing brands. I have heard of people indicating they switch to a'pay for an yearly roster upgrade' model, but this might be the first time I've heard a suggestion that they ought to use a rotating studio strategy. Frankly I believe that is a brilliant idea for every one of EA's monopolised franchises. They have the tools to take action, and it has worked for other yearly / nearly annual releases. Considering that Assassin's Creed switched to that model there's been an uptick from the franchise's fortunes.
I believe it's the very first time you're hearing it cause why would EA do it to begin with? Why change a version that is suitable for them. As someone EA's business model would be to pay to manufacturers for exclusive licenses, then make Madden NFL 21 just adequate enough that is good to market to casuals. We are not the target market, otherwise franchise could be the selling point. I mean if you hear a podcast by Rex (preceding lead writer for Madden), he discusses that he pitched delaying Madden NFL 21 with annually to rebuild it from the ground up, along with also the"suits" took it as a joke/were angry at the suggestion. Again, why delay Madden NFL 21 with a year if quality isn't your concern?
Finally the players and especially those that are casuals are accountable for Madden NFL 21s failure. We keep spending money and allowing the suits know that the lack of quality is okay. Having the resources and justifying the cost (read:they think that it will bring in greater than the price ) are completely different.
CoD works since it is a formula of FPS, and they have Madden NFL each year. You do not anticipate to build on the past, you expect it for a brand new coat of paint on the exact same formula. Because let us say one team builds solid logic for rushing it could be an issue, but another has for racing logic. It means every three years you would have bad racing. Pieces of them can't just smash on collectively, the code will turn into an absolute mess. And if something broke, you'd want to bring in the group that did that code, and also have them dive into more code that's been added that they're not familiar with.
