Nex was teased in December by an announcement trailer. It read: "The prophecy foretold of the ancient warrior who was imprisoned in a prison deep beneath Trollheim. A force so powerful that it was a tyrant, with four armies fighting against it united to thwart its evil. They called her the Fifth General. She's said to be a hoarder of artifacts of tremendous power and that an enchanted seal can be all that separates brave men from her wicked wrath."
On today (January 5) Nex is unleashed on Old School Runescape after 90 percent of the players voted to approve the new update. Players can team together in clans of up to 80 players in order to take on the boss. In accordance with the release, Nex could also be fighting on their own in a private battle. Instances can be unlocked after you complete an Hard Combat Achievements tier, after which you can purchase an account to get one million GP every entry. Higher Combat Achievement tiers lower this cost.
Living in the Ancient Prison beneath the God Wars Dungeon, Nex can only be reached once gamers have finished the Desert Treasure quest and a miniquest to unlock access to the Frozen Door. The access point that is iced up has been in existence since the time that the Dungeon was opened but not been opened, up to now! In the Prison the players have to slay through an enormous army (featuring Spiritual Warriors, Mages, Rangers, and Blood Reavers) before they can reach Nex herself.
In the end, defeating Nex could earn players reward points, including the Ancient Godsword, Zaryte crossbow which is the most famous Torva armor set, and much more. Every participant in the fight is likely to win a unique item as well as the best players winning more valuable items.
The minimum level required to be able to play Nex are: 70 Ranged, 70 Strength, 70 Agility, 70 Hitpoints. At present, Nex players are not able to use Monster Examine on Nex. If players try to do this, a message will be displayed in the game chat with the message "You aren't able to find the stats of your character".
The Fifth General feature in the upcoming Shattered Relics League, which begins in RSC on January 19 and will run until March 2 after it was delayed from 2021.
It is described as a "RuneScape-inspired experience that's suitable for veterans of the series and newcomers alike." Melvor Idle has launched with a full launch. It is available to test at no cost with Android and iOS, where an in-app purchase can be upgraded to the full version. The paid version is also available on Steam for PS7.19.
