I have to admit that I've never jumped into Old School RuneScape for some time. Since the Shattered League looking to mix different levels of play with that sweet experience gain multiplier that makes your whole game much faster perhaps this is the thing I needed to get back in the game.
These leagues have already proven successful at garnering the interest by the Old School RuneScape community, with the former Trailblazer league back in 2020 with a total of 170,000 players concurrently. Fingers crossed the league will prove just as popular this time around.
The Shattered League is running from today through March 3. So if you've been meaning to get back into Old School RuneScape, this might be the right time to do it. If you're thinking of jumping in to Old School RuneScape, let us know below what's your reason!
Runescape as well as Outriders aren't two games that gamers will think of together So, seeing the Runescape player address r/Outriders may be surprising. It did result in an interesting post and a conversation between players of either or both games. It all comes down to one former Jagex employee: David Osborne, otherwise popularly known within the Runescape community as Mod Osborne.
Osborne recently announced on LinkedIn that he's leaving Jagex after 15 years of content editing in narrative design, design, and lead design. It's a choice he made according to him, to "test his experiences across the business." Osborne is leaving Jagex and will join Square Enix on the publishing part, as a Senior Designer. He'll oversee "some fantastic games," starting with Outriders.
The news prompted Redditor FatNWackyRS to reach out to users on r/Outriders to send a message about Mod Osborne, describing him as the "warm, friendly "Dad" face at Jagex." FatNWackyRS describes everything Mod Osborne has performed for the community through the years, including some clips, such as being portrayed as Mod Elfborne to help promote Prifddinas (an Elf City in Runescape), joining livestreams and supporting Jagex's goals.
