Blizzard will be celebrating the game's inaugural Ladder season with a livestream event dubbed The Infernal Race. Diverse Diablo producers will be working together and competing against each other in order to be at the top of the seasonal leaderboards. Fans can watch the race at this official Diablo Twitch channel.
The game's initial Ladder season comes after the release of the major patch 2.4 update that introduced major balance changes for classes addition of new items and rune words, tweaks to the game's various mercenaries as well as other changes. This is the first major update to Diablo II since 2010's patch 1.13c.
Blizzard recently revealed its free-toplay Diablo Mobile game Diablo Immortal which will be coming to PC with multi-platform play and cross-progression. Diablo Immortal is set to be released on June 2, with the PC version launching in an open beta state.
