As of today, Jagex continues with its long-term plans for Old School RuneScape. 11 years after its debut it is now the God Wars Dungeon storyline is finally at an end, and its final boss will be added to the game in an update this week.
The God Wars Dungeon isn't going in a hurry It's now heading towards its finale with the appearance as the last boss to be defeated: Nex The General. The last enemy in a storyline that's been an entire decade in the making so slaying her won't be an easy feat to say the least. The number of teams that can be played by players can increase to 80 at a time, so you definitely won't be able to do it alone.
Nex appears to be an enormously popular addition to the game. Every RuneScape update must receive the approval of 75 percent of players before going live, and the General got through with nearly 90 percent of players having voted to bring Nex in.
Anyone who is a member at any level can be the boss, but Jagex suggests that you take the levels 70 ranged, 70 Strength, 70 Agility, 70 Hitpoints. It is also required that you be able to complete The Desert Treasure quest, so you have access to The Frozen Door. The door will be used for access to Nex's world which allows you to test and kill the monster yourself.
Naturally, as you'd expect from a great boss fight, there's amazing loot available. Jagex hasn't provided more detail on what to expect however it has revealed that among the items available to grab is an Ancient Godsword, Zaryte crossbow, and the Torva armor set.
