As influential that World of Warcraft has been it is, but one might never think that it will reach someone like Jamie Lee Curtis. The actress, who is known for her roles in the Halloween franchise and 2019's hit detective story Knives Out, recently told Jimmy Kimmel in an interview (via Entertainment Weekly) that she was going to officiate her daughter Ruby's wedding dressed as Jaina Proudmoore. This is a significant persona from the MMORPG.
In the interview Curtis said that the costume was picked for her to be worn by Ruby and her fiancee Cynthia, but there may be some difficulty securing it by the wedding. Curtis said that the dress is expected to be shipped from Russia which could result in supply issues given the ongoing conflict with Ukraine. The war has had a profound impact on the gaming industry as a whole, as numerous game developers have rallied to help Ukraine as of the time the conflict began.
It's endearing to see an actor who is well-known like Jamie Lee Curtis go above and beyond for her daughter's wedding, as she did in this. Despite the difficult story of the developer of the game, which is in midst of a lawsuit with the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing, World of Warcraft is still host to fun and entertaining scenes like this. For instance, during the stream of the 80th anniversary the streamer who is a senior WoWGrandma78 received a shoutout from CouRageJD who is a popular streamer who flooded the 80-year-old WoW streaming channel donations and subscriptions.
Jamie Lee Curtis' wedding cosplay is a similarly heartwarming action, and could add to the joy of daughter's marriage that is more memorable. The wedding, according to Curtis's statement will be taking place in May. One hopes that the appropriate World of Warcraft attire will arrive on time for the wedding day.
The well-known fantasy RPG game World of Warcraft, was the first major expansion to be released, The Burning Crusade, in the beginning of 2007 and along with its new content, there was lots more lore to discover. World of Warcraft was released just over two years before this, and by when The Burning Crusade came around the game was already growing in popularity. Fans were eager to experience the ethereal world of Outland and to interact with some of the most-lovedcharacters from the game's predecessor, Warcraft III.
