There's a saying that is popular in the sports gaming world that you'll never need to buy the next year's game. In many cases sports video games seem identical. The gameplay has a lot of resemblance to previous years. There aren't many new modes to play with. The game remains essentially similar, minus major roster updates that merit an upgrade.
This was a clear major concern for NBA 2K22 which is the latest edition of this year's NBA online game. Following the solid experience at the end of NBA 2K20 and the mixed NBA 2K21, there were many questions regarding what NBA 2K22 would bring to the table. These concerns only increased when NBA 2K22 did not release an initial demo of the game, as it has done for years. It was also missing gameplay footage. There were very few trailers of games and players in the game.
Now, NBA 2K22 is finally available on the United States, giving basketball fans another opportunity to hit the court and compete with their most beloved NBA stars. And I'll tell you -- this isn't just a copy to paste game. This is a game you should upgrade for, if on the market for a new NBA game.
However, you're not here to get my thoughts about whether you should buy it. You're here to know what makes it good as well as ugly. So, here are 22 things that I observed while playing the game on the first day of its launch.
The games in NBA 2K22 run smoother. Everything flows together and flows smoothly. Your players will find the appropriate spots. The defense is in sync. The offense understands plays and runs around in the right areas. The game is going smoothly currently, and that's an indication of the longevity of the game.
