A card starts at level 1 and goes up to the level 5. It also unlocks additional added bonuses and effects once the level has been reached. In order to upgrade a card to the next Awakening Level, you need to do two things. The first is to increase the gauge of XP by feeding it with XP cards or duplicate cards.
Continue to do this until the XP gauge increases. When that happens you must feed it additional duplicate cards in order to "Awaken" the game (push it until it is at the level you want).
The more advanced the Awakening Level the greater number of duplicate cards you'll need in order to move to Level 2. The duplicate cards needed by every Awakening Level are listed below. It is important to note that as you'll need this many duplicate cards in order to Awaken an existing card, it's a prudent idea to not feed a duplicated or duplicated card to increase the XP amount. Instead, it's more efficient to just give it XP cards.
They'll be able to get these XP cards just like other cards you get when you complete different activities in the game. However, they also have the rarity system, which is why the more scarce XP cards giving more points (up to 9000).
Open up your Card Catalogue screen and click the "Book" tab. You'll be able to see all of the different cards in the game grouped under different books. Card Books are a kind of improved version from the card Set. Instead of giving power bonuses only when they are equipped (like Card Sets) they offer much less powerful but permanent, passive bonuses without having to equip any equipment.
