Elliott is the player that he requires to have the year that he deserves to be. The team's mishaps are obscuring his name and his contract holdout for 2019 and last season's fumbling yips and snarky quips, we've forgotten how good Zeke was (is? . The 8,341 yards he ran, which he ran before his 26th birthday, are the third-most all-time NFL total. They trail only Emmitt Smith (a decent run) and Walter Payton (a good runner).
This week Madden ratings were given to the top players at every position. The Washington Football Team now has its first player in the the Top 10. Kendall Fuller is eighth among the Top 10 cornerbacks. He has a grade of 89 and is tied for eighth.
Some of the players who are ranked ahead of Fuller include Los Angeles Rams All-Pro Jalen Ramsey, Stephon Gilmore of the New England Patriots, Jaire Alexander of the Green Bay Packers, Tre'Davious White of the Buffalo Bills, Marlon Humphrey of the Baltimore Ravens, Xavien Howard who has recently requested to trade with the Miami Dolphins, James Bradberry IV of the New York Giants and Denzel Ward of the Cleveland Browns.
Darius Slay Jr. of the Philadelphia Eagles ranks just behind Fuller at No. 10 overall with a score of 88. Fuller's 89 rating might come as a shock to NFL fans however, it shouldn't come as any surprise to the fans of the Washington Football Team.
After two years in Kansas City, Fuller returned to Washington for his first year. He was able to record 50 tackles as well as 11 passes stopped. Four interceptions were also recorded, which tied his career record, which Fuller established in 2017, the year he first joined Washington. We're eager to observe what the WFT defense develops by 2021. And any improvement that the team can make will likely be largely due to Fuller's contributions.
