Mmoexp - The highlight was the debut of All-Time Teams

Of course there were some issues to resolve, however, it was a well-received addition to the series. Summer League and sideline reporter Doris Burke were also welcome additions. But the game did have a handful of technical issues, especially after the game's release.
The ESPN license was added to the series in a big way with ESPN NBA Basketball before ESPN NBA 2K5 arrived. This was a historic game and was the last NBA game that SEGA released prior to it being sold. Even though the ESPN presentation was definitely the best however, it was ultimately canceled. Ben Wallace was the cover star of the game as the only player to do so following Allen Iverson. The game had two modes, 24/7 and Association. Both were met with mixed reviews. But the gameplay was great and it was only $20 in price tag, which made it an excellent bargain.
Four games are tied with an 87 rating. NBA 2K14 through 2K16 each scored the same which shows the consistent nature of the franchise. 2K14 featured the LeBron James: Path to Greatness mode and Euroleague teams. The game also featured a stellar soundtrack. 2K15 didn't do anything new, but it added to the already existing content. 2K16 created a massive impact in introducing the concept of MyLeague creating custom leagues by changing franchises. This allowed players to create their own leagues. This was also the time when MyCareer mode turn into an exclusive experience.
NBA 2K18 is the fourth tied game to receive an 87 rating. It's a place on its own, as the lowest score it received for a particular platform was score of 74 on the Nintendo Switch, which is more than previous games' worst. This game features Kyrie Irving on the cover.
Because 2K was operating in the "if it's not broken, don't fix them" mode the game only had minor adjustments. But they also added some fascinating things like Kobe Bryant and Kevin Garnett as guest commentators and more classic teams. The highlight was the debut of All-Time Teams which assembles teams comprised of the best players from every franchise.
