Asian market Nexon signed a deal with Electronic Arts to release FIFA Mobile from the Korean marketplace back in March.
"EA working with Nexon highlights the advantages of working together with local publishers when making a best-in-class localised variant of a cell game, but also the increasing emphasis on center gaming opportunities on cellular for customers," said App Annie manager of market insights Amir Ghodrati.
"That is just one major reason consumer spend in mobile gaming is set to reach 2.8x PC/Mac and 3.1x house consoles by the end of 2020."

The game has proven to be successful since its global launch in October 2016. In fact, we ourselves were impressed by FIFA Mobile.
Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, Nexon experienced a fall in earnings and revenue year-on-year in Q1 2020.
Electronic Arts is directed up to utilize FIFA as a way to push its cellular division forwards.
In a call with investors, through GamesIndustry.biz, CEO Andrew Wilson explained that the publication has"six new soccer mobile games in development for new genres and new markets"
Prior to returning to the firm, Karp gained experience in the mobile space through positions at Zynga and Big Fish Games.
