Nogami speculated that New Horizon's lower than expected youth demographic could be since New Horizons has not yet been accessible during key holiday periods.
"Since it has not been a year since it premiered, it has not been possible for many kids to purchase it, but for the moment it is a game with a user set that is probably different from your own expectations," he said.
I will go a little off the rails here, and wonder if this threw them for a significant loop. Would they prefer that this was primarily enjoyed by children? Kids (can be) more accommodating and they surely have a much smaller voice when it comes to feedback.
Fundamentally, will they attempt to appease their older crowd (who showed up in droves) or even attempt to change to game to make it less attractive to adults and much more (or just ) attractive to children?
For me it's not even that, it is that the second onwards profiles have restricted abilities. That fuckin blows and stop me from becoming the game. Otherwise I would have loved to discuss an island with my husband.
It's not ideal, but it really does not hamstring you enjoy you think/people say.
I personally enjoy sharing the island with my spouse and daughter. I definitely understand wanting one yourself too. As always, more options and flexibility are constantly better.
Yeah, if both players were equal owners and may"progress" the island evenly, it'd be fine. I've got it and my daughter is your island proprietor so there's really nothing I can do unless she goes and does the quests. It is pretty stupid how they have it all setup.
And he is tackling a specific point made in the article. Does he have to explore every single topic before making a remark?
This is clearly not a game designed toward the majority of people on this sub. I do not really understand all the hating given many people here didn't play with the old ones or obviously have an interest in a game which isn't Animal Crossing.
Don't like decorating? Don't like talking to villagers? That is disliking the heart of what the game is meant to be and it's no wonder you would hate it.
Just so silly to watch people get up in arms over a string not intended to be their own jam.
I really don't think that has been the gist of the criticism at all. Folks have critiqued the game for the ways that it deviated in the old games, not because the AC formula isn't for players.
There's still content which has to come out for ACNH, I really don't believe we can say it is not the same when we haven't seen everything they are going to release yet! Sure it sucks that a number of the cool furniture in the other games is not inside yet, but I hope that will come after as shop upgrades happen and whatnot.
