I will go a little off here, and wonder if this threw them for a major loop. Kids (can be) more accommodating and they surely have a much smaller voice in regards to feedback.
Basically, will they try to appease their older crowd (who showed up in droves) or even try to change to game to make it less attractive to adults and much more (or just ) attractive to children?
For me it's not even that, it's the next onwards profiles have limited skills. That fuckin blows and stop me from becoming the game. Otherwise I would've loved to share an island with my little sister.
It is not ideal, but it actually doesn't hamstring you like you think/people say.
Personally, I love sharing the island with my wife and daughter. I definitely understand wanting you to yourself too. As always, more flexibility and options are constantly better.
