It has been a long time coming, but Phantasy Star Online 2 is set to make its North American debut this past season. You will have the ability to start downloading the client from March 16th. But for avid PSO2 fans, the match might have been worth the wait. In the get-go it'll consist of episodes 1-3, representing over three years' worth of expanded content upgrades from the beginning. The open beta will include fully localized text and character voices in English, and if you log in you'll get your hands on many different weapons including swords, assault rifles, rods, and gunblades in addition to consumable items to get started.
The North American version will also include the most-up-to-date balancing and quality-of-life improvements from the Japanese support. Players will have the ability to pick from four races and nine classes and also explore around 14 places while handling a variety of assignments and collecting Xbox One Achievements.
Again, there's no word from Sega as to why it has taken so long to find the game out of Japan, but with its launching date tantalizingly close it doesn't really matter anymore -- players will gladly believe it if they see it. Sign up for the open beta about the Microsoft Store.
