Zhou possibly even underplays the battle which NetEase and CCP took on with this mobile port. Until today, getting games such as Old School Runescape on a mobile platform was considered something of a technical marvel. The cellular space comes with a huge assortment of hardware, users that are on the move, connections that might simply drop off without warning, along with many other limitations that CCP has not had to overcome in their period. Yet, the team think they've got this covered.
"There are so many challenges to bring that massive combat in the PC to mobile but we hope we can reach the Exact Same technical heights which EVE Online already has achieved" The on the go server changes aren't the only thing that EVE Echoes has shifted up for players coming into New Eden onto a little display. The staff at Netease has spent a significant quantity of time modifying the in game UI, streamlining it and making sure that new players may get to grip with their ships with no need for a mouse at sight.
That really isn't the adjustments that I got excited about, however. Players who watched that a current EVE Echoes Stream will have captured a glimpse of this Yan Jung, an older race that's coming back into EVE Echoes. Returning to fresh Eden this race is, as Wei Su explained,
"The Yang Jung is one of those early factions of the forgotten age of New Eden. The details in EVE Online don't really tell us a lot about the Yan Jung but it's an opportunity to ring something fresh and add even more diversity to the EVE experience. Many of our team are Asian and they love the notion of incorporating oriental culture into the match. It will hopefully help to greatly help expand the reach of EVE Online in many ways and deliver it to a larger population."
The return of the Yan Jung creates a bold statement this is not only EVE for old school players. NetEase and CCP talked of brining the core EVE experience to mobile but have definitely made some changes to the way the game plays out. While Wei Su verified that players may play with"however they need" construction companies or heading out to mine the edges of distance, EVE Echoes gets a few nice additions, and this does not just mean extra skins and cool looking new ships. It will include some awsome skins and cool looking new boats, however.Per a joint press release by the NetEase and CCP Games:
In addition to keeping EVE's signature gameplay mechanisms, EVE Echoes additionally includes fundamental tutorials for new gamers to advance and increase their own space-faring experience. The EVE Echoes Open Beta provides a more optimized feature-set for gamers to use within their adventures across the vast, deep and lovely cosmos of New Eden.
