I really don't comply with the e-sports side of madden, nor do I even play online (mainly just career mode), however I saw that the championship for a bit and the way the commentators spoke about among those players never calling a pass play made it seem like it had been commonplace in competitive madden. If that is the case, my heart goes out to all the online people and competitive players since that sounds like it actually stinks. It reaches a point where folks are focused on winning their approach stops being football. That's the sign of a faulty game; I must win at aggressive Madden by being very good at soccer strategy, theories, and implementation. What this guy did is not football. And that is not his fault, it's Madden nfl's fault.
EA attempt to fix it and should be fucking embarrassed this occurred. However they won't. Sports games are a lot worse off now than a decade past. The developers literally want only money and know that they will get it as they've created this environment of habitual buyers who would rather cut off their leg than just go a year or two with no Madden. Or they will overcompensate and next year's game will probably be easy to pass and impossible to run.
