To give some charge to this one, I would like the Ravens user within the Chiefs daily. Hill and stopping Mahomes is a nightmare. Bonus rant: I can not stand how EASY it is this year to beat press coverage. Anytime I press my corner, then I automatically get beat. They don't automatically beat every single corner who presses them every single time(in real life). In Madden nevertheless, if they are pressed by you it's automatic that you are giving up a TD. I can not stand that because this does is forces you to play with with your CB's 5 yards back which results in opponent out course open.
Press may get roasted, however, it depends upon a number. Cover 4 (not palms if you don't cover sticks probably ) is basically a bailout media. This will not get deep unless you've got a speed mismatch. Man can get beat but shading over top helps. If you don't shade overtop if they have an route that is releasing it's basically GGs. Change your outside Corners into Quarters, they will play, although this policy can be called by you. I am not a player by any means, but this really is.
For your own sanity, understand that although Madden is a soccer sim, it's terrible at it. And is more of a football game with a few sim theories. You need to have the ability to take care of the meta, if you would like to do well. We're way deep into Madden nfl cycle at this time, a majority of the people playing are fans, so expect a great deal of meta. Around 1-2 weeks following release and christmas are usually fun, because everyone's trying to figure what out. I was a very long time sim player who got tired of getting beat by game mechanics. I'm likely below average, although I can hold my own against most I believe. I haven't played since like November lol. Run meta is very boring to me.
I ceased playing madden after I got into it with my buddy who would always cheese plays and audible out of each drama and do custom routes each time in madden 15. He would do so and beat me again and again while I would attempt to play with Madden nfl like a proper football play caller, all the while talking shit about me trash because I don't resort to this kind of fast slants cheese. A small trash talk is 1 thing but he was basically beating his chest like he was a kind of madden god and it got to the point where I got fed up and told him I will do exactly what you've been performing and show you just how broken Madden nfl is and the way you're not so great.
