I certainly did this to the microsoft site, UK established and desperately wanted PSO2 literally only changed the EN-UK into EN-US and pso2 was magically in the shop, then I clicked download to my own devices. Yeah! I'm just getting to look into it myself, and it certainly seems to be like that. As an explanation: The US page can be found on browsers without changing anything or account area. It is also possible to URL-switch it from en-us into en-gb that gives a UK page.
And alongside this, it will have an button! Clearly the only installation option is Xbox One in the moment, but if this works how I think it works, that means you should be able to run Phantasy Star Online 2 without even having the region set to United States from the browser! The Microsoft Store app has its own area setting! I've also discovered that if you"own" Phantasy Star Online 2 in the US store, you can click on the... icon at the top right and choose My Library, and Phantasy Star Online 2 will probably be recorded there! That is looking very great for accessibility from areas today!
I'm still excited to play, but it's definitely an odd choice to make it a Microsoft shop exclusive since Microsoft has been putting many of their games on steam recently. Perhaps is has something to do with this being and crossplay an easier way to execute it? It does come to steam as they are going to lose a ton of PC Phantasy Star Online 2 players without it. It will likely make its way there soon enough it's the Microsoft shop which is on my own PC and most consumers have a hotmail and gmail account anyways so no biggie for me.
They extrapolating, unless Forbes knows something we don't. It's so that MicroSoft doesn't have to pay the commission that is 30% that is asinine that Steam fees for ALL purchases. For as long as you can it makes sense from a business perspective to delay the steam release. You and Steam fan boys can't contend they literally need a monopoly and Steam to be the platform.
