OSRS will never evolve beyond this stage

OSRS will never evolve beyond this stage in time and has reached it's peak years back as Mat K stated. Repairing the economy isn't likely to change this, especially when it comes at the expense of forcing players to sit and click on stones for profit just like they did 15 years ago when they were kids and might easily spend 10 hours a day clicking stones and never doing any bosses.
When Dungeoneering was released in RS2, it revived RuneScape. Membership numbers skyrocketed. Membership went up, when divination was released. I really don't understand about innovation because I stopped from that time but fresh and interesting content that truly alters the manner RuneScape is played has been very successful with the exception of EoC, and also the biggest reason they couldn't cancel EoC is since they had spent in 7 months or so worth of content down the pipeline balanced about EoC and they simply couldn't revert it.
Very few players actually need the older, AFK mining and woodcutting and fishing to be Runescapes long run, given the decision we would all have requested for a 2012 Runescape right before the EoC and we'd have been totally fine.
Everyone on this reddit pats themselves on the back when they indicate nerfing the hell but it would not mend RuneScape whatsoever. The hardcore playerbase who already farmed bills worth of gold will probably stay, but nobody wants to sit at a supervisor for a month straight LOSING most of their profit, and also risking a hundred thousand or more(they clicked stones on for 10 hours every day to get) so they could be excited when a item that is worth half of that manages to drop after weeks and months of grinding.
