Click here to write your articleRank 1 won't have the exact same meaning. Imo from the merching planet the biggest way is whenever someone claims something is a sink, as it does take gold from RuneScape. I instantly know that person hasn't placed an ounce of thought into the market aspect, and they're only using the word"gold sink" since it almost sensationalizes the article.
There is nothing wrong with money sinks that are enormous. There are tons of people in RuneScape who have billions. If they wish to turn that into xp, what's wrong with that? You do not have to be on the frontpage of the hiscores. In any case, soon enough chronotes will fall a huge sum. Now, if herblore was discharged Could he be whining? That people are spending billions to get 200m quickly?
However, in reality, it is not a gathering RuneScape skill nor a buyable, it is in between, like Divination. And so what if it is? When there's nothing wrong with a RuneScape skill, and there is nothing wrong with a gathering RuneScape ability, what's wrong with this being both? A final point: Of course money sinks need to be added to balance the huge money influxes. TH is only one of those influxes; there are loads of other people and TH a part of that, but it is definitely not the only thing bringing wealth into RuneScape.
Increases of wealth creation is completely natural for a growing game. New content is much better, stronger, more profitable; obviously it is! It would be lifeless. Whether is powercreep of wealth is too fast or too slow is a discussion - my point is this powercreep must happen in a game. And that influx should then be balanced with sinks. Look, Drumgun, it is a buyable amassing RuneScape skill. Not a collecting, not a buyable. Just like with any buyable, it's likely to cost an absurd amount if you wish to be on the front of the frontpage.
