You discover that he was taken and experimented on using Dark Force DNA and have to fight with his giant form. If using the"Red" Weapons, that were his gift to his pupil, to kill him with, his apparition appears if you return to the boss room after beating him. It has been over a decade since I've played it I'm sure I'm missing many details and I didn't play the first 4 RPGs but there is undoubtedly story and and you will find, again plenty of references inside, especially in weapons and their flavour texts, into the old games.
No idea how long PSO2 will hold my attention, but I'm 100 percent to give it a shot given how much I enjoyed the first. The latency was a bit much to enjoy from the east shore, although tried playing JP many years ago. At this point I might as well await NA servers, although I am west coast now. They do not give the Xbox One players too much of a head start over us Windows players.Interesting that you cite latency being a problem. The battle definitely was not on a 300ms delay that is exactly what I have to any JP server.
Ive really played pso2 on jp servers out of both central US and East Coast US and latency actually never came up as a problem. In fact, this was one of its strong points in that I didnt feel held back by my space in the servers. This was on account of the combat occuring client side. So even when there is a lag spike it could appear like things have suspended following the spike is finished but actions like harm will follow. Same as it pertains to enemy placement. The strike detection is client side and as such if you hit on it on your view it counts even if its not exactly the same as other gamers precisely.
I've begun playing PSO in my phone throughout the dolphin emulator. A friend and I have been enjoying. Been having a complete blast with PSO, I'm not quite sure how to feel about PSO2. Kinda neat to see that round the corner, but none of the successors captured the magic of PSO ever. It wasn't a game that is great by any means but I had a blast. PSO2 manages to catch the identical sense for me.
