Runescape's absolutely absurd account retrieval system
So ive been playing osrs for decades now, a few months back I decided to delete it so I can concentrate on university, today I wanna feed my addiction of osrs once again, I get the app all excited and things, insert my login info, and it says I need to input some code out of"my authenticator program" which I dont've installed anymore. I attempt to disable the authenticator through the site but whats happening is I'm following the directions on the site to disable the authenticator but to be able to do this I need to be logged in, that's THE WHOLE ISSUE IN THE FIRST PLACE, they have got an option for"Lost your own authenticator?"
But when I go through with this that they assert they send an email but they never do, I tried over 20 times, checked all the folders in my mail, and still no email, its also the proper email because if I try to reset my password that they really do send an email but when I do it to disable the authenticator they not send you. Theres no official support email I can contact, and theres literally nothing I can do, I think I dropped my account that is. Please, if anybody has an idea to solve this dilemma I would love to hear it, thanks in advance.
If anyone is in the same situation, attempt to reset your password via the website and see if you receive an email, if you do, thats great, reset your password and see whether that simplifies the Auth, in case you then check all of your email folders or believe if you registered with another email. Go through runescape's account retrieval and be certain that you put in your username and not.
