Entirely agree with the opinion of your article but I believe OP's tone has been misunderstood. While yes, it's stupid to say that"no one asked for this" - if it actually is"new content". That is precisely what people have been asking for. Although in the end of the day, this informative article certainly doesn't deserve the hype that Jagex is trying to push onto it. New potions seem like one of the easiest and less time things to do, now wait, let me explain. I know, I am not a match dev and that which takes man hours and a lot of thought. But take a minute and think about it yourself, we have had overloads and supreme overloads/salves etc for how long in runescape?
Well might not be that simple but I am sure it is on exactly the same track. Plus the graphic icons for it are tiny and I'm sure didn't call for a lot of time to do or finalize.
Also yes I agree that just because somebody spent time on something doesn't make it automatically trash or vice versa. But at the same time, I feel as it does not deserve to have a slot at the"Year's large content updates" - on the flip side, I will give the Cheap Rs gold Farming update a free pass since they do need to invest a lot to the art and dev team to generate the assets. But total, 120 capsule and 120 farm seems something as though they can bring out anytime with the hype and focus around it.
