In almost any sport runescape player Cheap OSRS gold characters have to do a huge number of items, also RuneScape is among the worst for it. If you change the shape of the runescape player, every single animation has to be upgraded, every armour version also needs to be updated for both versions and the animations, clipping issues could crop up anywhere in this and all this has to be done for both female and male personalities. Compare this to a new NPC that stands in 1 place executing one idle cartoon in 1 outfit.the workload is orders of magnitude less.
But expecting a complete overhaul of runescape player versions is... well, suffice to say there are probably a lot more efficient applications of the developers' time. It's very naive to believe that it's as easy as"just redo the female and male body contour".
Were not know RS wasn't made with polys, and im not very proficient with voxels but could not they use a plugin that redesigns and converts a 3d version made with voxels to polys and then adjust/touch up the model instead of work from scratch, could be far easier. (if it works, which I dont see why it would not. They'd have to picture it so it might wrap a new version, or remake it to fit the new versions measurements exactly (which might be dumb as shit to repeat because they would need to do it whenever they upgrade models).
A good example of where this goes wrong is when people hit the leave cap on their personality, although I'm not sure it's possible nowadays, it would only show a blank place where that piece should be on. I guess if a piece won't load 14, this could be seen by you. So you have no palms along with a arm the glove model does not load.
