Obtaining up my Maplestory M Mesos for sale account to rate became of paramount importance. So I began training and leveling up my character -- a priest to degree 50, simply to be irked by her insufficient harm. I set my sights on a different character, a more powerful course and started over. I debated if I should play with a magician an assassin, or a weird hybrid of the two: a blader. picking a username I randomly went together with the magician and got stuck. That is when the delight of playing MapleStory 2 suddenly revealed itself.
I have already beta tested MapleStory 2. I know exactly what this game is and exactly what happens once you reach the end -- you are lonely and tired, and there's nothing left to do but to learn more about the world. However, exactly what the beta version was missing -- the enormous MapleStory community of kids and teens currently grown up as college students and young professionals -- supposed that I was only playing with a shell of a match.
It's the thrill of knowing others are also striving to create their personalities the silliest-looking or the most lovable, that smart names are well sought after, and that whenever you are looking for a party pursuit, five other strangers at any time will immediately join you. All these are. I sat there for hours trying every nice word I could think about before I eventually landed on a four-letter word username which others hadn't taken yet: Leit, as in leitmotif. (I also created characters called Enlarge and Colonial, but those do not have quite the exact same appeal for obvious reasons.)
In beta, virtually any word was available, which sucked the joy from this hunt. The same goes for building a house. You are afforded a lot free space and furniture, but the action of laying the bricks and complex details is dull if nobody knocks on your door.
I've come to the conclusion which MapleStory 2 lives or dies by how many men and women are playing it together. And while that's true for most massive multiplayer games, it's particularly true for Maple, because its fan base is largely those who grew up using the original, and revel in the nostalgia element. No one really plays Maple for content and its quests.
