I love the Astellia Online Asper Torchlight series, nevertheless Perfectworld does print a lot of shitty gotcha games all of which are f2p, littered with slice of life microtransactions such as inventory/character slots/respec/etc. These ARPG-MMO hybrids have not really worked out well in USA/EU awarded their nothing longer than Korean money catches. So my expectation is with this being a well known and popular IP embracing this version if"f2p" take action directly linking the ranks Warframe/PoE.
Overall I'm awaiting having played games like Mu Legend, Devilian, and Warlords Awakening that are nothing but cash grabs with very solid gameplay which hurts when you have to purchase everything, sub to a superior support, or convert actual money to digital currency simply to respec is dreadful. These matches had amazing boss fights with mechanics you'd only see in a game such as WOW/SWTOR/GW2 but at an isometric game where you couldn't only face tank and kill like a normal game of Diablo.
Please Torchlight Frontiers be good! Or might need to wait and see whether Blizzard tries to use a similar model with the upcoming rumored Diablo game, as an Open World Diablo with MMO rules, hub space, with dungeons/raids would be an instant 10/10 game for me, with Blizzards polish, and monetization it'd be really sad to see Torchlight Frontiers be defeated since we need more games like this that aren't Korean BS! Looking in the Lost Ark.. . .the cock tease of the form of game.
I think that they're trying to make this the entry-level cheap Astellia Online Asper Action RPG for kids, very similar to the way Fortnite is your entry-level FPS for kids. Hence why they removed so much customization in the character stats. I very highly doubt they will be able to pull off a viral effect the way Fortnite did. Perhaps if there was some core
