Partially true description of why people bot

I agree with a lot of what is being said here. I really don't like Black Desert either. The only thing I must say is that should they include botting into design and the game around it, it's not an issue. Kind of like how purchasing coins was an issue until Runescape inserted in bonds (economy's been busted however ).If you truly do not care that you are being manipulated into giving away your cash, then fine. Play the game. After all, ignorance is bliss, and we mostly play games for entertainment.I do not care when JAGEX"requires" to make money. They do not have to do it at my cost, and there are dozens of other ways to obtain revenue. They can sell cosmetics. They could make and sell real expansions (however, I don't mean just like how Runescape 3 adds one town, I mean a true expansion). They could sell XP boosts or convenience items.

You shouldn't worry about their well - being. They should have to attempt to keep you playing, Should you decide that they're not doing enough and leave. They're a business, not people; and companies are designed to make money. This is a partially true description of why people bot. Too bad it has nothing. Runescape is the sole game (besides EVE online) which I have seen with a botting issue. Every other match has discovered a way to design around bots, but Runescape has still failed to solve that problem. You still don't get there are better methods to do this than low drop prices. I favor the"test of skill" solution, but I understand why you wouldn't like this, since you have none.

Here's a solution I have seen employed with fantastic sucess, without making the match a grindy mess like Runescape. First: Raise the fall rate to about 50%-100%. In this manner, anyone skilled enough to overcome the boss (and consequently prove they deserve the reward) has got the reward. 2: create the item un-tradable. Funny how that is. Almost like Runescape doesn't do that because of some other ulterior motive; like, say, making artificial scarcity to inflate the item's worth.I'm pleased to hear you want alternatives to relying on RNGesus for loot. Here is a few I have seen work better than Runescape's method, as well as to.

Meaningful development. Make it that if I have components, anything can be crafted by me. And I get SOME parts. By way of example, there's a 1/1000 chance that I can find a cool sword. However, every time I receive 1-3 scales. The blade can be crafted by me if I collect 100 scales. Some bosses in Runescape clearly already do this; I would like to see it in some kind for every boss, other than just gold farming.Tying drops to accomplishments: It's simple. If you finish something, you get something. It might consist of doing everything, although this does not include doing X instances to something. For example,"bring me the four elemental orbs and I'll grant you this staff." The items are non-tradable.
