Lastly, and I'm sure that this is coming because I feel as the group explained in a recent interview, the Ability UI for building your character is equally a bit confusing and a little misleading. The separation of skills makes it look like there is not a lot of skills or expansion. But even there are 10 skills on the Forged, and 11 abilities, each of which may be updated multiple times. More will be added, for sure, plus the Relic Weapon system adds yet another layer of character building. But be an option as 21, I'd love to see abilities mods or morphs a la Diablo and ESO 3. A way for players to customize what a skill does so they can further distinguish themselves from Forged and Duskmages.
I'm rambling here, but I can't stress this enough - Torchlight Frontiers is the MMO ARPG I've been wanting since Mythos from Max Schaefer and his group. When Torchlight 1 was announced, I recall writing blogs about it before I was ever here, and getting in touch with then"Wearer of Many Hats" Wonder Russell. She gave me a Torchlight key to review on my piddly small MMO blog, but she helped me get introduced into Max and it was him that advised me that the goal for the franchise was to get into a sequel with co-op play, then ultimately an MMO.
Well, here we are in 2019, likely a decade later if I am recalling correctly, and I playing Torchlight that the MMO, and I am oh so pleased about it. Is there work to be carried out? Sure. It is Alpha. But I love what I'm seeing, and I believe this one cans turn into a winner for launch.more in:www.mmoexp.com
