There, players can begin to rebuild the Blades; recruiting new members to resist dragons around Skyrim. The Blades are still disbanded and so are not officially recognised by the Empire. Regrettably, that is up to the narrative of Skyrim goes. The narrative of the game ends with their unclear and also with all the Blades rebuilding their strength. What Role Will the Blades Perform in The Elder Scrolls 6?
The Blades in The Elder Scrolls 6's part is very likely to be set by the function of dragons. It is unclear after the end of Skyrim as the series continues whether dragons will stay residing in Tamriel. Then the Blades could continue in their role of dragon hunters if they do. Dragons are unlikely to play a central part given how central they had been into the narrative of Skyrim. If they do appear, they will play a secondary role at most. The antagonists of this Elder Scrolls 6 are more likely to function as Thalmor.
Given the profound grudge that the Blades hold against the Thalmor; it seems probable that the bodyguards will go back to wreak their revenge in The Elder Scrolls 6. But, it's unclear how this could involve the players. In Morrowind, Oblivion, and Skyrim, the Blades were the principal favorable organisation in the main narrative. Obviously, that could change; there's no ironclad rule they have to be. But given that Bethesda went to the trouble of giving them such a damn backstory using all the Thalmor, they now seem primed to be the drive alongside whom gamers take the struggle back to the Aldmeri Dominion...
It sets the scene for a shift of the nation-states across Tamriel; countries that have been almost entirely static since the days of Daggerfall and Arena In the event the Empire finishes. Given the Blades are part of this Empire, it is possible they could survive a collapse and play a role in creating a new nation in its place. As enemies of those Thalmor and dragon-slayers, they might be the ideal organisation for people.Elder Scrolls: Blades -- what you Want to know about'This game'
