If there was a way to benefit from your FIFA 19 footballing prowess... Happily there is, and once more this year's game contains a'Champions' style in Ultimate Team, which allows you to interpret your skills on the virtual pitch into in-game rewards. It sees you accruing points through playing games with your constructed squad, and qualifying for a Weekend League where your performance can acquire you rewards. It's quite a confusing system, but we've tried to break it down as simply as you can.
The Weekend League is one of FIFA's more controversial features, tasking players with completing a number of matches throughout the weekend should they qualify for a coveted spot in the contest. The League ranks you against comparable level gamers, and the rewards can be significant if you work well, but you'll be asked to play dozens of matches against random opponents. Fortunately, EA have tweaked the arrangement so that now if you qualify for the league, you can defer your entry until a weekend which is suitable for you, rather than having to devote your own time on the following weekend.
