"All the light in the match, which I would argue is what provides the mood, that is taken from our real life data capture. It's skies capture which we did on location in Britain, and we had a man capturing for every single season; he is a very dedicated guy who was there for the whole year, in all conditions.
"The thing with that was we got the real thing. We got the heavens that were there in life for every one of these seasons and we brought them. Surewe curated them slightly and we chose the things we thought was going to look the most dramatic and provide us the very best visuals in match, but there's a decent representation of all of the various weather types that you would expect to possess."
I pity the poor soul that had to spend a year taking a look at the British weather, but the attention to detail is frankly astonishing. With the addition of comprehensive skyboxes, it is no wonder what we've seen so far seems so damn great. Forza 7 stepped up the graphic benchmark for racing titles, and it seems that Forza Horizon 4 is set to raise the bar even higher.
Some of the features showcased at E3 this past year was that the inclusion of real drivers, to substitute the utilization of Drivertars. This caused concern and multiple flashbacks to turn 1 in public lobbies, but thankfully playground match's has thought ahead:
"I believe most of us recognize those complaints and these issues that you associate with an online match, and that's why, to begin with, we have made sure this is not an online only game... it is a button press in a menu to switch to solo, and if you do that all of the real world drivers will be replaced with drivatars. Obviously, that's going to make the experience comparable to what you had in Forza Horizon 3 in which you were in a world populated with Drivatar AI.
"We believed was playing the open world with real people added this entire additional layer of fun and spontaneity you can't actually programme into an AI. That's something that needs to come from genuine human behavior." www.mmogo.com
