Golden State Warriors player Stephen Curry is preparing for the Ellie Mae Golf Classic at the TPC Stonebrae Country Club in Hayward (name).
Curry's kick-off in the 4th hole deviated from the crosshairs, but fortunately fell from the hills and rolled to a distance of 2 meters from the hole.
"Understand the ball situation." He said with a smile.
Curry hopes that his familiarity with TPCStonebrae will come in handy this week at the Ellie Mae Golf Classic. There is no doubt that he came here with a lofty ambition as a player who won three NBA championships and two MVPs three times. . He knew that promotion was not easy, but he also considered the possibility of this. Before training, he said that his goal is only to play better than last year's game.
"I went back and thought, 'Where can I lose the 11 shots this year?'" Curry said. "Reducing double bogey, I think I have had this experience twice last year. I am in a par 5 match. I was fined a shot. The little thing like this is what I think a true golfer should think about.
"And now, whether I can execute (my own ideas), this is another problem. But I think I can lose the 11 shots. Who knows how much this year can be lost? This is my goal, try to execute the game plan ."
He has just achieved impressive results at the American Century Championships last month (tied for 11th), a celebrity event held near South Lake Tahoe. Earlier this year, Curry also scored a 67 in the informal round of Stonebrae.
"Obviously, I don't want to embarrass myself, but I have some confidence this year," Curry said. "I definitely feel that I can take advantage of last year's experience and my few opportunities to participate in golf tournaments to play to my advantage."
The biggest achievement of Curry at the Ellie Mae Golf Classic was to learn how to relax his nerves on the golf stage. Obviously, he is used to the spotlight of the NBA Finals, but basketball is his livelihood.
"In Tahoe, I am one of the best players, so this is a different kind of confidence," Curry said. "Here, I know that my talent and preparation ability far exceeds expectations. However, golf. There are also some subtle differences in the tournament.
“When you get on the golf course, you will understand how they finished each round of their game, how they digested the information, how they bounced after a bad shot, and you will see them overall. Stability - this makes me more appreciate the talented players on the field www.lolga.com ."
