Practice catching often. You can do the rest of your team a favor by practicing how you (and they) are more versatile.
Play games against yourself in and before it. Basketball is a multiple player sport, but there are times when no one is around to play with you. You are able to do a lot on your own. Work on free throws or your pivot moves. You can always work on.
This will involve their lower back, lower back, and abs. A well developed core lets a player generate force that can be tapped through the legs while running and jumping higher.
The key for controlling the ball well is to spread your fingers out. This will keep the ball from getting away while you to be sure that it won't escape your grasp when trying to hold it. Don't let your palm touch it.
Build your core strength and work on your legwork when you train for basketball.Your body will improve if you have strength in your core muscles. Focus on the back, abdomen, and back muscles. Jump rope like a boxer to improve your feet.
Speed is everything in the game of basketball. Try to play faster than the opponents for an advantage. You have to be steady as you play faster. Don't attempt to play too fast and risk your chances. Playing beyond your speed can result in bad passes and errant passes.
Practice passing while looking in other way when passing. This will make your opponents. When you do this right, it will cause the opponents to go to the wrong area so that you can pass to someone that has a good look at a basket before shooting. It's quite a great play if done properly.
