  Transforming into a Fulltime Gamer

Date Tuesday, February 28th 2017, 6:23 PM; Icon 784; Date 0; Attitude +0 | 0 | -0

We've seen it before.
Ahead of the Dojo opening it's doors, we labored on an instance by case basis with professional gamers, musicians, athletes, and influencers. Helping them turn their passions in to a living (okay, the athletes had already tried it we helped them grow).
The only problem with this was, we had been limited to assist by the amount of hours from the day. Since we were a creative agency, and dealing with individual clients- we only ever dealt with 5-10 "clients" at one time. The Dojo is our answer to that.
Through working together with influencers from countless different niches and markets we realized something surprising. Most of these "celebrities" we're normal. damn. people.
Everyone can do it. Not everyone will.
This can be tough to believe but that's really the only distinction between you together with any of our teachers. They didn't think of their end goal, they simply did. They acted.
Admittedly, not every them knew the things they were moving towards whenever they started on their paths.
But that's why we're here- to take their experiences and personal paths, and distill them in to a executable roadmap for you personally guys to adhere to.
You want eSports and the gaming industry overall to develop. The best way to accomplish that, inside our opinion, is to help other folks join the neighborhood as creators and contributors- not simply viewers.
So returning to that roadmap. Inside the words of Scump, it's not rocket science. Yes it's time consuming, without any it doesn't happen overnight. Having Said That I promise you, I swear about the first Bioshock: if you put in the time, create quality content, and at the minimum stick to the best practices- you may make gaming the day job.
There's an enormous difference between the people who say they desire something and the people who buckle down and execute. That's all it comes down to, I can't stress it enough.
Many people spend a huge amount of time dreaming and brainstorming, but not greatly time executing. They build up the thought of what they need to generate within their head, but it really seems up to now from which they currently are how the task becomes immeasurable and daunting.
So, accomplish the damn thing. Stop thinking about it, accomplish it. Decide on a single channel, create it, and begin building a crowd. A crowd that cares concerning your input, your gameplay, as well as your advice about the world of streamers and content creators: is arguably one of the best investments you possibly can make into yourself for this journey towards making a living in gaming.
Again, decide on a social networking channel and start working on developing a name for yourself. Share and make content you see interesting. Chances are that other gamers like yourself will also discover it interesting and/or helpful. If Youtube may be the route you need to take, check out this post to provide you your start.
Start setting up enough time today, even though it's only ten minutes each day, or thirty minutes every other day. That's approximately 4 hours monthly. You certainly already spend that much time intensive content- so you may too share it! You'll be surprised how big it could grow in 4-half a year.

The last thing I wish for you to take into account is that this- start paying attention to simply how much content you take in vs. how much content you create. To make a career in gaming, you must view yourself as being a creator, not just a consumer. In the event you create even half just as much content while you consume you'll be building an internet gaming empire in no time.
